Welcome to The Alexandra WI!

Welcome to The Alexandra WI, the Women’s Institute for Muswell Hill and Crouch End, North London. We started out in 2010 and we have members from their 30s to their 70s – we’re a diverse group and all women are very welcome!

We usually meet 8-10pm on the first Tuesday of the month at CUFOS, end of The Avenue, London N10 2QE. It’s the old Alexandra Palace railway station building, just behind Ally Pally, however, like many WIs, we are currently meeting online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Next meeting is September 7th, time tbc

In September we tend to have a couple of members speak about their life / careers and I’m sure we won’t be disappointed when we have June and Sally take the stage. We are planning to have this back at CUFOS, though of course, with Covid still on the horizon this meeting may be held via zoom.

Please scroll down and read about our past meetings and do check the calendar for future programmes, which will resume as soon as we are safely able to do so.

How do I become a member?

While we’re not meeting in person, you’re welcome to join us on Zoom, but you will have to email us first for the link.

Please have a browse of our site… but if you have any questions, please do email us.

Read more about membership here. Subscription rates for 2021 are here.

Our January pub meeting has traditionally been a time to welcome the new year with a glass of wine and to debate the WI’s shortlisted resolutions for the coming year. This was us in 2020; 2021 was different – same meeting, but online (BYO refreshments!).

Our 2019 decorated t-shirt competition, celebrating the theme of ‘My WI’.
