The Alexandra is the Women’s Institute for the women of Muswell Hill and Crouch End. Established in 2010, we are part of the Middlesex Federation, and the North-East London Group of WIs, which means we have a loose alliance with Clay Hill, Field Dames, Ladies of the Lock, N1 and Stroud Green WIs and share an annual Group Meeting with them.

Most of our members live in Muswell Hill and Crouch End, but a few come from slightly further afield: everyone is welcome!

Our Members

Our members are a vibrant mix of women from all walks of life. They range in age from their 20s through to their 70s and bring to our group a wealth of life stories and experiences. We are brought together by a shared passion for our wonderful corner of North London and our community.

Our Objectives

• To provide opportunities for local women to meet and make friends

Our Goals for 2021-22

• To recruit new members and increase the membership from 25 to 30
• Organise 3 outings for the year
• Raise £250 for our local charity
• Maintain our online presence to attract new members
• Support WI online courses
• Support the learning and skills objective
